The busy sounds

of the modern world dim as the well kept 1700’s slate-roofed farmhouse, workshops, and barns come into view. Friendly dogs bark “hello!” from a fenced side yard. On the crest of the hill behind the farmhouse, you see neat rows of fruit and nut trees with beautiful little cabins interspersed.

An assortment of cows, sheep, and alpaca dot the pastures on both sides of the road. Chickens in the yard, ducks on the pond and a cozy pen of pigs welcome visitors, as the burbling nearby trout stream beckons.
